Repatriation Efforts for Filipino Scamhub Survivors in Cambodia Continue; 13 HTVs Safely Return to the Philippines

Phnom Penh, Cambodia — The government continues its efforts to repatriate Filipino nationals who were victims of online scams in Cambodia, as preparations are made for a mass, simultaneous repatriation initiative known as the “one-time big-time” return program.

Thirteen human trafficking victims (HTVs) safely arrived in the Philippines on January 25, 2026, via Philippine Airlines flight PR 2622 from Techno International Airport in Phnom Penh, landing at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 in Pasay City.

The repatriation was facilitated through the coordinated efforts of the DMW, the Migrant Workers Office in Singapore, and the Philippine Embassy in Phnom Penh, with arrival assistance provided by the DMW, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), the Bureau of Immigration, and the NAIA Task Force Against Trafficking (NAIA-TFAT). The returnees were scheduled to visit the DMW for further documentation, livelihood support, and legal assistance, in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to ensure the protection and welfare of overseas Filipino workers in distress.
